On February 9th, a meeting of the Project’s Advisory Board took place at the Directorate-General of School Administration (DGAE), a partner entity of the Teaching To Be project, with the presence of the following members: Dr. Maria Jos\u00e9 Barrela and Dr. Fernando Alexandre, from DGAE; Dr. Filinto Lima, Director of the Gaia School Association and President of the National Association of Directors of School Clusters and Public Schools (ANDAEP); Dr. Rodrigo Queir\u00f3s e Melo, President of the Association of Private and Cooperative Education Establishments and a professor at the Portuguese Catholic University, Lisbon; Dr. \u00c1lvaro Almeida, Former Director of the Gaia School Association and a member of ANDAEP; Dr. Patr\u00edcia Pacheco and Dr. Jos\u00e9 Reis Jorge from ISEC Lisboa.<\/p>\n
The main objective of this meeting was the presentation of the project’s development up to the present moment. Following this presentation, made by the ISEC Lisboa team, a debate was initiated about the difficulties, challenges, and sustainability of the project. The discussion proved relevant so that, at the end of the project, a set of recommendations can be defined to be presented to the Portuguese educational authorities regarding teachers’ professional well-being, with a view to improving teachers’ professional development and the quality of teaching and learning.<\/p>\n
