{"id":705,"date":"2019-11-25T11:27:27","date_gmt":"2019-11-25T11:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cloud.iseclisboa.pt\/?p=705"},"modified":"2019-11-25T11:27:27","modified_gmt":"2019-11-25T11:27:27","slug":"degree-in-aeronautical-sciences-atpl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cloud.iseclisboa.pt\/?p=705","title":{"rendered":"DEGREE IN AERONAUTICAL SCIENCES + ATPL"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/ifa-training.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/ifa_e_escolaaero.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/h5>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\">BRANCH AIRLINE PILOT AND FLIGHT OPERATIONS<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\">GOALS<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Enrich candidates&#8217; curriculum by increasing job vacancies and reducing potential risks arising from the activity (eg Pilot and annual medical examinations);<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the same length of degree with obtaining an Airline Pilot license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\">ATPL RULES: EASA \/ ANAC \/ IFA<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum number of students to open a class: 12 students<\/li>\n<li>Maximum class enrollment &#8211; 18 students<\/li>\n<li>3 years to complete the ATPL course since enrollment (theory + practice);<\/li>\n<li>The 14 ATPL disciplines with 14 exams to take at ANAC;<\/li>\n<li>Maximum of 6 exam seasons to complete the 14 subjects;<\/li>\n<li>Maximum of 4 exams \/ discipline;<\/li>\n<li>Maximum of 18 months, starting from the 1st exam at ANAC, to complete the 14 exams;<\/li>\n<li>Any failure to comply with the above rules implies the total loss of the ATPL course;<\/li>\n<li>Examination seasons at ANAC last for 2 consecutive weeks and take place in the last 2 weeks of the odd months: Ex. Jan, mar, may\u2026;<\/li>\n<li>For access to ANAC exams, the student must perform an internal test with a rating equal to or higher than 80%;<\/li>\n<li>The ANAC exam must be completed with a rating of 75% or higher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\">CHALLENGES &#8211; LICENSING + ATPL:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Intensive program with increased demands on students;<\/li>\n<li>The curricular programs of both courses are convergent, maintaining the total duration of the degree;<\/li>\n<li>Beginning in September of each year, duration of 3 years;<\/li>\n<li>The 14 ATPL subjects will be taught during the first year of the course;<\/li>\n<li>ANAC exams (4 + 5 + 5), in January, March and July;<\/li>\n<li>Didactic material supporting the implementation of the ATPL provided by the IFA;<\/li>\n<li>The initial phase of flight is scheduled for the end of the first year and should end at the beginning of the third year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-6366c803-7fff-74f4-e306-26d469ddff7e\">MEDICAL EXAMS:<\/span><br \/><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">An applicant wishing to enroll in the Aeronautical Sciences Degree at the same time as ATPL must take the aeronautical medical examinations in advance at UCS &#8211; Address: R.
