SKILLS TO BE DEVELOPED

Coordinate and execute the operations concerning tourist and air transport activities, in particular with regard to the selection of the tourist destination, reservations/ticket sales, hosting activities, check-in, boarding, disembarkment, flights connections, handling operational irregularities and respective document and billing processing.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

  • Manage tourist operations in travel agencies and other operators.
  • Manage bookings through computerized tourist distribution systems (GDS).
  • Issue tickets regarding passenger air travel and their baggage documents.
  • Coordinate and execute the processing of the imported and exported cargo.
  • Manage the traffic of people, cargo and equipment, organizing the distribution of human and material resources.
  • Coordinate the activities of boarding, disembarking and transit of passengers and luggage.
  • Resolve or forward irregular situations related to the transit of passengers and luggage, in particular those resulting from loss or misplacement of luggage (lost & found), cancellation of flights or missed connections.
  • Plan and develop tourism marketing plans for different markets and tourism products.
  • Plan and develop tourism activities in line with the organization/company strategy.

+ Students who hold a CET (Technology Specialization Course) diploma
+ Students with Higher Education diplomas (vocational retraining)

EQUIPMENT AND TEACHING MATERIAL

Library; computer lab; aeronautics lab; Galileo GDS system and Galileo Reservation system (via collaboration with ISLA Santarém).

ACCREDITATIONS AND DIPLOMA RECOGNITION

+ This course grants the credits to later pursue a bachelor’s degree, as provided for in Article 45, No. 1, paragraph b),Decree-Law No.65/2018 of August 16, namely concerning the Aeronautical Management and Hotel Management Bachelor’s Degrees of ISEC Lisboa. Awaiting approval from the Technical-Scientific Board.
