#ISECALER at ISEC Lisboa’s “Happy Arrival”

As expected, the #isecaler Project was present at the welcome reception for new ISEC Lisboa students during Welcome Day at the Lumiar Campus. It extended a warm welcome not only to those entering higher education for the first time, but also to reading – such a rewarding and enriching activity.

Before the event, a story about the Reading Club was shared on social media, challenging students to bring a book with them. Not everyone saw the post, and not all who saw it brought books. However, to compensate, some who did bring books did so out of habit, simply because they love to read.

During the event, professors Sandrina Esteves and Sara Leite chatted with many of the new students about to embark on their academic journey. They inquired about their reading habits and preferences and, naturally, introduced them to the #isecaler Project.

They discussed the Reading Club, whose monthly online sessions take place on Thursdays at 9:00 PM; this blog, whose daily features include riddles, challenges, reading suggestions, and news; and other initiatives related to the #isecaler Project. They emphasized that the project aims to welcome and integrate students through shared experiences related to books and leisure reading.

With such enthusiasm and excitement, we hope these young people felt inspired and that we can count on their participation in the activities planned for 2024/25!

This initiative is part of the #isecaler and Happy Campus projects, uniting a love for reading with mental well-being.
