#ISECALER at CNaPPES24

ISEC Lisboa participated in the 10th National Congress of Pedagogical Practices in Higher Education (CNaPPES24), held on July 8th and 9th at the Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto. This national gathering brought together faculty and researchers from various fields, all focused on sharing pedagogical practices and promoting innovation in higher education.

One of the highlighted projects was #isecaler, which focuses on the welcoming and integration of new students. As part of this project, a poster titled “#isecaler – a project for welcoming and integrating higher education students” was presented. The poster was authored by Professors Sandrina Esteves, the initiative’s coordinator; Sara Leite, head of the Post-Graduation in the Art of Storytelling; and Ana Oliveira, director of DGID (General Directorate for Research and Development). This program fosters an inclusive environment that facilitates students’ adaptation to the academic context through activities that encourage intercultural communication and the development of social skills through literature.

Among the activities promoted by #isecaler are the Reading Club and the “Livros Viajados” (Traveled Books) initiative, which encourages the circulation of books among the ISEC Lisboa academic community, stimulating dialogue and the exchange of experiences. These initiatives have strengthened the bonds between students, faculty, and non-teaching staff, underscoring ISEC Lisboa’s commitment to inclusion and pedagogical innovation in higher education.
