ISEC Lisbon organises the 1st edition of International Academia Week with a focus on internationalisation and pedagogical innovation

Between 25 and 29 November, ISEC Lisbon organised the 1st International Academia Week, an initiative that is part of its internationalisation strategy and promoted under the Erasmus+ Programme and the INOVEDU project. The event brought several foreign teachers on teaching mobility to the Lumiar campus, strengthening international cooperation between partner institutions.

The week’s programme featured the International Design Week, which included workshops and lectures facilitated by international lecturers from the Accademia di Belle Arti L’Aquila (Italy) and Óbuda University (Hungary). These activities focused on innovative topics in the field of arts and design, directly involving the student community of the School of Communication, Arts and Creative Industries.

At the same time, Patrícia John Tapias, PhD student in Education Sciences at Simón Bolívar University, Barranquilla, Colombia, led a short session entitled ‘Our Professional Practice: A Challenge for Effective Teaching and Learning in Higher Education’. Aimed at ISEC Lisbon faculty members, this session addressed effective teaching practices and the challenges of higher education, promoting reflection on excellence in teaching and learning.

The 1st International Academia Week represented a unique opportunity for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences, consolidating ISEC Lisbon’s commitment to internationalisation in higher education.
