The Teaching to Be project’s final conference brought together experts from the fields of teaching and mental health

On January 20th, the Final Conference of the European KA3 Teaching To Be (T2B) Project, a project involving 8 European Union countries, took place at the ISEC Lisboa facilities. This initiative brought together in the same space all the teachers who collaborated in the different phases of the project over the last three years, as well as the team of researchers from ISEC Lisboa who made it all possible.

Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to reflect on and discuss teacher well-being, its promoting and inhibiting factors, counting on invited speakers who are specialists in this area, such as Professor Dr. Leonel Oliveira, a researcher at the University of Minho, Professor Dr. José Castro Silva, a professor and researcher at ISPA, and Professor Dr. Fernando Alexandre, from the Directorate-General of School Administration.

The aim was, thus, to provide a multidimensional perspective on teacher well-being, which highlights the complexity of variables associated with teachers, students, families, and educational policies that can contribute to the improvement of teacher well-being in Portugal and Europe. Finally, the team of researchers from ISEC Lisboa had the opportunity to present the project and its methodology, as well as the national results obtained over these 3 years.

We extend a special thank you to everyone who was able to attend, to the teachers who agreed to be part of this study, and to the various partners who contributed to the success of T2B.
