ISEC Lisboa faculty participate as invited speakers at the XI CBEE

The XI Brazilian Congress of Special Education (CBEE), held from November 1st to 4th at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, featured the participation of ISEC Lisboa faculty members Marco Ferreira and Joaquim Colôa as invited Portuguese speakers.

Professor Marco Ferreira presented the lecture entitled ‘Conceptions and Practices of Teaching-Learning and Inclusive Education – Contribution to Teacher Training,’ a session he shared with Professor Lúcia Pereira Leite from São Paulo State University (Universidade Estadual Paulista). Professor Joaquim Colôa, in turn, presented the lecture ‘The Multilevel Model in Portugal as Support for Learning and Participation: Aspirations and Challenges,’ co-authored with Professor Juliene Madureira Ferreira from Tampere University in Finland.

During the congress, the faculty members participated in the meeting of the PROFOR research group, of which they are members, and were also invited to share content and realities related to research methodologies with postgraduate, master’s, and doctoral students in the field of special education and inclusion.
